Boredom and Mental Health

Boredom is a hindrance to sound mental health. It interplays with one’s ability to stay focused on a particular activity. Instead the mind gets pulled in directions that are not very healthy and hence causes trouble. This is the reason unhealthy or negative coping mechanisms build up.

Creative hobbies like crocheting, knitting, artwork of any kind, writing and reading – all such activities keep the mind occupied in a healthy fashion and let thoughts flow in a meaningful way.  A creative mind is always beautiful, to watch it play out. There’s nothing more calming in this world than art forms of any kind.
